If one of your pictures is reported as Adult Content visit your Locker to respond to the Report. If the item is not inappropriate you can Reject the Report... if the item is inappropriate you can Accept the Report and the item will be removed from public display.
You will only receive Adult Content reports if you publish your content for other mbuzzy users to view. If you do not publish your items, they will remain private and hidden in your Locker.
What is a buzzcode and how do I use it?
Buzzcodes provide a quick and easy way to access items on mbuzzy, either directly from your phone, or on your PC. Each item on the mbuzzy website has a buzzcode associated with it. Access mbuzzy from your phone or PC and enter this buzzcode to navigate directly to the item.
Buzzcodes also offer users who have phones that don't support alerting an easy way to download items.
How does mbuzzy keep my information safe?
To protect your wallet, private information, and transactions mbuzzy combines a collection of robust, industry standard security techniques. Among these techniques is the use of the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) to ensure all sensitive communication between your computer's web browser and mbuzzy's servers is encrypted using a 128 bit encryption key, the highest level commercially available.
In addition, sensitive information is further encrypted and stored on our data servers that are both physically protected and electronically protected by our firewalls, preventing direct access from the Internet.
The "this page is Secure" icon is displayed on mbuzzy pages that use SSL encryption to protect your personal information:
What does the message "This item has not been converted to work on all Phone types" mean?
mbuzzy supports a wide variety of phone types, provided by different phone manufacturers (such as Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Sanyo, and others). Along with supporting all these phones comes a number of challenges in ensuring the content we provide works correctly on all these phones.
In some cases, to provide a particular content item such as a Game across all these phones, it requires that many versions of a particular Game be developed, each with its own unique nuances to function properly on different types of Phones.
As a result, not all items will be available to all phones all the time. We are constantly working to expand both the content offered through mbuzzy as well as ensuring the content offered is supported on the widest selection of Phones possible. To this end, we have provided a "Notify me when this item is available for my phone" link you can click next to items that are not currently available for your phone, that you would like us to provide for you. We take all these type of submissions into consideration as we are prioritizing our work in this area.
What does "Your Phone does not support this type of Download" mean?
The services and content mbuzzy provides take advantage of a wide set of capabilities available on your Phone. Not all phones, however, support the complete set of features that mbuzzy offers. As a result, in some cases, you may find that certain types of content or services that mbuzzy offers do not work on your particular Phone.
Although in very few cases these support issues can be overcome by mbuzzy and, at some point in time, additional features may become available to your phone that were not previously available, the more likely case is you will have to upgrade your Phone to increase the features your Phone is capable of supporting.
What does it mean when mbuzzy is still certifying my Phone?
Because mbuzzy supports such a wide variety of phones, and because new phones are always being released into the market, there will be times when our testing efforts are still in process when these Phones become generally available.
When this happens, you will see a message similar to "mbuzzy is still in the process of certifying your phone for this Download and/or Feature"
In some cases you will be allowed to proceed anyway, with the note that you may experience technical issues as we have not completed our testing. In other cases you will not be allowed to proceed until our testing efforts have reached a satisfactory level.
We apologize for the temporary inconvenince and, in cases where you see this message, know that we are working hard to complete our testing efforts so you can take advantage of all the great features mbuzzy has to offer!
What does Report Adult Content do?
mbuzzy relies on the mbuzzy user community to ensure inappropriate content does not make it into publicly accessible and highly visible areas. Clicking the "Report Adult Content" link will send a message to the owner of the inappropriate content item asking them to remove the item from public display. The owner of the item then has the choice to Accept or Reject this Report.
If enough Reports are generated, and the owner continues to Reject these reports, mbuzzy will be notified.
Lastly, mbuzzy reserves the right to restrict Publishing privileges as well as Reporting privileges for those that abuse their power ;)

How do I create a Picture for mbuzzy?
If you have your own pictures to add to mbuzzy simply use the "Add your own Picture" option in your mbuzzy Locker. mbuzzy will automatically perform all the transformations required to put the picture on your phone.
If you would like to edit your picture before adding it to your Locker any one of the many image editor software programs on the market can be used to crop or resize your own pictures.
Paint Shop Pro is a great cheap alternative to PhotoShop.
Pictures must be in either JPEG or GIF format when adding to your Locker. If your picture is not in this format a program such as the one described above can convert it for you very easily (just Open your picture then choose Save As and change the file type).
How do I add my picture to an mbuzzy public category?
The first step to adding your Picture to an mbuzzy public Category is adding the Picture to your Locker.
While adding the Picture to your Locker (or after by Editing the Picture) you will first have to check the box that says
Publish to your Gallery. Second, you have to check the box that says
Publish to mbuzzy Public Category and select the mbuzzy public category of your choice.
You will have to verify your mobile phone to publish to mbuzzy Public Categories. Mobile phone number verification can be done anytime after you have setup your phone by clicking on the
Verify mobile phone # link in the
::checklist:: section of the user homepage.
How do I change my type of phone?
If you have an mbuzzy account you can access all of your account settings by clicking on one of the
Settings links displayed across the top of each page once Signed In. From the Settings page select the My Phone tab.
To update your phone settings click on the
Change Phone Details link on this page. This will take you through the phone setup process to reset the details of your phone.
How do I add my own ringtones to mbuzzy so I can use them on my phone?
mbuzzy allows users to take personal MP3, WAV, and MIDI sound recordings and store them in their mbuzzy Locker for use as ringtones on their phone.
If your phone supports polyphonic or monophonic ringtones then you can use MIDI files as ringtones. If your phone supports TruAudio ringtones then you can use MP3 or WAV files as ringtones.
All users of mbuzzy can store personal MIDI recordings in their Locker. If you run out of storage space in your locker you can upgrade your account to a premium account to get more storage space.
If you are unfamiliar with MIDI, you can download one of many Shareware MIDI Sequencing programs that will allow you to produce your own MIDI files to use as ringtones. A search on
midi sequencing software in Google will yield many results.
You need to have a premium account to store MP3 and WAV recordings in your Locker. MP3 and WAV files are much larger and require more storage space than MIDI files. The larger locker size of the premium account is needed to be useful to mbuzzy users who want to use personal WAV and MP3's as ringtones.
To add a ringtone to mbuzzy do the following:
1. Log in
2. Click on the
Locker link at the top of the page with the other mbuzzy links once you have Signed In.
3. In your Locker, click on the
Add your own ringtone link.
4. In the
Add to your Locker dialog enter a name for your ringtone and use the
Browse button to select the file on your computer.
5. Click the
Add ringtone button.
6. Your ringtone will be added.
How do I create a TruAudio Ringtone for my Premium Locker?
Notes About Editing
This article describes using the Free Windows Recorder to edit your WAV file. Alternatively, you should consider using a more versatile tool such as
GoldWave that will provide easier editing and allow you to save as an MP3 file instead, which is smaller in size and faster to upload.
NOTE: Use of WAV files requires a Premium Locker Account and a Phone that supports TruAudio type Ringtones.
This How To provides steps by step instructions for cropping your WAV file to be used as a Ringtone.
The first step is to Record your sound file. You can do this with any microphone plugged into your Sound Card.
To Record your sound file we will use the
Windows Sound Recorder application. This application can usually be found off of your
Start Menu in:
Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Entertainment
NOTE: It may be under Multimedia instead of Entertainment on older versions of Windows
Once you have
started the Sound Recorder press the Record button (Red Circle) and Record your Ringer-to-be. You will now see something similar to the following:
In this example we remove audio from the beginning and end of the WAV file. At the end we are left with a 15 second clip of the WAV file (taken from the middle of the original WAV file) that can then be added to your Premium Locker and used on your own Phone as a TruAudio type Ringtone (NOTE: your Phone must support this Ringtone type).
To start the editing,
Play your WAV file and listen for the point where you want your Ringtone to start. You can use the slider bar to move back and forth and fine tune. In the example below the starting point will be at the
5.10 second mark of the original WAV file.
Once you have the slider bar at the point in your WAV file where you would like the Ringtone to begin, choose
Edit -> Delete Before Current Position. This will delete all the contents of your WAV file the came before the starting point you have specified.
After removing the first 5.10 seconds of the WAV file the total length of the WAV file has now been reduced (by exactly 5.10 seconds).
Now that we have our starting point we want to specify the ending point. Just as you did above, play the WAV file and find the ending point of your ringtone (using the slider bar to fine tune). In the example below our ending point is at
15.03 seconds. This will make the ringtone total length 15.03 seconds.
Choose
Edit -> Delete After Current Position to remove the excess audio at the end of the WAV file.
You will now have the complete WAV file cropped to your specifications ready to turn into a Ringtone!
Now
Save your changes and note where your file has been saved. Your sound file is now ready to be used.
How can I disable alerts being sent to my Phone?
mbuzzy provides privacy features for subscribed users that will allow you to manage when alerts will be sent to your phone and by whom.
You can edit these settings by visiting your
Settings page (see the link at the top of each page when you are Signed In) and selecting the Privacy Preferences tab.
How to Download an image
To download an image you can do one of the following:
1. From your PC - You can login to your account on mbuzzy and browse the site until you find an image you want to download, or enter the Buzzcode for the item you would like to download in the

Once you receive the alert on your phone you will need to activate the link sent in the alert to go directly to the image on the mbuzzy website (the image is not on your phone yet). How many files can I store in my locker?
There is no limit to the number of files you can store in your locker. Each user account has a fixed amount of space that can be used to store your own personal content. The size of the files you add will determine how much you can fit.
Feel free to add a couple items to your Locker to see how much space they take up. That is the best way to judge how much you can fit.
What happens if I go over my limit and need more space?
If you reach the maximum space allowed for a Free membership account you will have to upgrade to a Premium membership to receive additional space.
If you are already a Premium membership user and have reached the maximum allowed for your Locker use the
Support Form to request additional space.
What types of files are supported in my Locker?
The following file types are supported by mbuzzy:
Images
- JPEG
- GIF
Ringtones
- MIDI
- WAV*
- MP3*
Apps
- J2ME MIDlets
The capabilities of your particular Phone will determine which of these types of content will actually work on your Phone.

How do I add pictures to my Gallery?
To add pictures to your Gallery first add them to your Locker. Either during the Add Picture process, or after by selecting "Edit" for the Image you want to Publish, select the checkbox titled "Publish to Gallery"
Having this box checked will display the Picture in your mbuzzy Gallery!
How do I change the Picture in my Profile?
To change your Profile Picture first add the picture you want to set as your profile to your Locker. You must publish this picture to your Gallery (so other users can see it) to set it as your Profile.
Once your Picture is in your Locker select the
set as profile link displayed on the same row as your picture. This will set the Picture as your profile.
Im not receiving the alerts?
If you aren't receiving an alert there are a couple of reasons why this may be happening:
1) your carrier's network may be busy... it can take a little while for the alert to arrive at times
2) double check your phone number (sometimes it's the obvious things that get us!)
I get a 906 Invalid Descriptor error on my LG5350 everytime I try to download
Some LG5350 phones experience repeated Invalid Descriptor errors. This is a problem with the phone itself... here are two work arounds that have worked for me in the past:
Reset your web browser (this worked for me)
1. Open the web browser
2. Click on the yellow rectangle with the purple swirly thing in it at the top of your browser (or you can push the singe button above your volume control on the left outer side of your phone)
3. Choose 8 Settings
4. Choose 3 Restart Browser
Reset your phone (didn't try this one, it will erase some of the stuff you have saved)
1. Choose your phone Menu (not the browser)
2. Choose Settings 8
3. Choose Security 7 (may be under Setup 9 on some phones)
4. Enter your code which is usually the last 4 digits of you phone number
5. Reset Default 5
I get an Insufficient Memory error when I try to download ringtones
Each phone has a limit on the max size an individual ringtone can be (this is filesize, in kbytes). When you try to download a ringtone over your phone's limit you will get this error, even if you have lots of space available.
In general ringtones should be kept below 40k with the current generation of phones.
I can not login
If you can not login and the error message "The username and/or password you have provided are invalid", you can recover your username and password by clicking on the "Lost password?" link in any of the "Sign in" dialogs or by accessing this URL:
http://www.mbuzzy.com/recover.php
Please read the help section on username and password recovery at:
http://www.mbuzzy.com/support.php?tid=57
If you are not receiving an error message and you are being returned to the login page as if nothing happened, you may not have cookies enabled in your browser.
For certain mbuzzy services Cookies are required. The primary service that requires the use of Cookies is the ability to Sign In to your account.
Here are a couple of reasons this may be happening:
o Cookies are not enabled in your Web Browser
o A personal firewall or anti-virus software running on your computer is blocking Cookies
If Cookies are not enabled in your Browser mbuzzy will not function as expected, and many services will not work at all.
To enable Cookies in your browser (or to check if they are enabled):
Internet Explorer
1) Go to Tools - Internet Options... - Privacy
2) If your Privacy settings are higher than "Low", either adjust them to "Low" or use the "Websites" option to explicitly allow "mbuzzy.com"
Netscape / Mozilla
1) Go to Tools - Options - Privacy - Cookies
2) Check that Enable Cookies is checked, or for Advanced Users if you do not have this option selected you explicity allow "mbuzzy.com"
If your Cookies are indeed enabled, check your personal Firewall and/or Anti-Virus software, this may be blocking Cookies as well.
I forgot my password and the "recover password" feature is not working
Here are Some of the problems we have seen when users attempt to use the
Recover Password form to access their account:
1. The user does not receive the mbuzzy password recovery email because it is blocked by a spam blocker and the user has to explicitly list mbuzzy as a valid domain to receive email from.
2. The user does not find the mbuzzy password recovery email in their Inbox because it is filterd into a spam or bulk email folder and the user has not checked these folders yet for the email.
3. The user does not receive the mbuzzy password recovery email because their email inbox is full and the mbuzzy password recovery email bounces.
4. The user does not receive the mbuzzy password recovery email because they mistyped the email address in the mbuzzy recover password form.
5. The user requests a temporary password using the mbuzzy password recovery form but does not login with the new temporary password within 2 hours of requesting it. The temporary password sent in the mbuzzy recover password email expires after 2 hours. The user must login with the temporary password and set a new password within 2 hours of requesting to recover their password.
6. The user requests a new temporary password using the mbuzzy password recovery form, and then shortly aftward makes a second request for a new temporary password because they have not yet seen the email from the first request. The user then finds the first email sent from the first request, either because it took longer than expected, or it was found in a bulk/spam folder in their inbox, and they attempt to login using the temporary password from the first email. This does not work however, because a new temporary password is set for the user with each password recovery request made. In this case the user needed to wait to receive the email from the second request and use the new temporary password sent in it. Users must use the most recent password recovery email sent to successfuly login with the temporary password.
I'm having trouble with the Word Verification during Registration
If you are unsure what the word is that is being displayed in the image, give it your best guess. If it turns out your spelling was wrong you will be able to try again with a different image containing a new word.
If the verification image is not displaying at all this may be because you do not have images enabled for your browser. For Internet Explorer you can check whether images are enabled by going to the following settings page:
Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> Multimedia
and make sure the box next to
Show Pictures is checked.
After checking this setting and updating as necessary, return to the registration page and
Refresh your browser to see if the image appears.
If the image is still not appearing please contact
mbuzzy Support for further assistance.
I have not received the email for my email verification
Here are a some of the problems we have seen with users not receiving email from mbuzzy:
1. The user has registered their account on mbuzzy with an invalid email address. Check your email address setting in your Profile by clicking on any of the

4. mbuzzy email is not found in the users Inbox because their email inbox is full and the mbuzzy email bounces.
I have not heard back from mbuzzy after using the Support Form
mbuzzy makes every attempt to address support requests within 24 hours. There is a large number of mbuzzy email responses to support requests that bounce because the email address registered in the user's account is invalid.
When making a support request please make sure the email address entered in this form is correct. The email address registered in the user's account will be set in the form by default, but can be updated.
Here are the most common problems we have seen with users not receiving email from mbuzzy:
